Privacy Policy
We are shoppers too and have the same concerns as many of our customers and visitors to our site, and with today’s internet activity growing exponentially, we wanted to take the time to tell you what our policy is regarding you, visitor or customer.
In general, we have no interest in garnering information from anyone and dispersing this for other uses. It is neither in our interest nor a part of our business. Because of this, our policy really is a simple one and follows as this:
E-mails:
When you complete our inquiry form to get more information or choose to use our shopping cart and purchase one of our products, it is at this time only that we collect information from you. Our site is not set up to collect or store cookies or to collect any other information from you.
Inquiry Form:
If you complete our inquiry form, we are the only recipient of this information and it comes directly to our sales staff. The information you provide is solely for following up on your request for more information as you put in the question that is with the form. We do not have a mailing list at this time, but it is possible that at a later date, we will create one and use that for contacting you later about sales. But at any time, customers or visitors can request that we not keep this information, and we will delete the information immediately. Realizing the industry that we are in, children’s furniture, most purchases will either be made or passed on, so there really is not a push in the future to keep the information longer than two to three months simply because parents will go ahead with a purchase from someone as children do grow up; that just means that we don’t expect repeat buyers because our furniture is not inexpensive nor is it meant to be replaced quickly.
Online Purchases:
If you do buy from us, first, thank you very much, we will collect your information in your sale for shipping and ordering purposes only. However, we will keep this information indefinitely solely for the purpose of fulfilling our warranty policy or to update you with any issues that can arise years after your purchase such as for recalls, product modifications, etc. When you do purchase, your information is delivered to us through a secure Socket Layer Protocol (SSL). You can see this when you go to our shopping cart page. Prior to going there, look at the Address Window (URL) for your browser, and you will see the beginning of the URL starts with http://www.oliviaandwill.com. When you go to the shopping cart, the “http” portion of the address will switch to “https” making your connection a direct connection to the server that is not accessible by anyone between you and the server, which is hosted by Godaddy.com. We do not have access to that connection either. When you order goes through, we only receive your personal information regarding your address and shipping address. We do NOT receive your credit card information except the last four digits of the card holder and credit card type. We like it this way too! Our transactions are processed by Authorize.net, and you can click on the Authorize.net logo at the bottom of the cart to learn more about their payment gateway process and that we are accredited with them as a safe and secure reseller.
Phone or Fax Orders:
Ordering by phone or using our Customer Profile form to make a transaction. If ordering by faxed check, we will ask you to complete our Customer Profile form that we will e-mail you. This option is a way to purchase through us and receiving a further discount off your purchase as juxtaposed to paying credit card companies fees. We can process your order either way, faxed check or credit card. This option doesn’t affect us either way, but rather than paying the credit card companies, we can discount your order by processing a check. Back to the form, if we receive this form by e-mail or fax, we will keep this on file for the same purpose of warranty issues mentioned above. But it is not to be shared, sold or given to anyone outside of Olivia & Will, Inc.
